In Tennessee, a drug dealer of note is in police custody following a motor vehicle crash on Sept. 13. According to media sources, law enforcement officials have confirmed that the man was detained in Decatur County. Although information about the charges was sketchy, authorities are touting the drug bust as a major incident.
The incident began as a traffic stop in neighboring Perry County. Reports indicate that the driver of the car under investigation fled the scene in the vehicle and later crashed it in Decatur County. The car reportedly contained one female and two males when the accident occurred. According to sources, sheriff’s deputies at the scene discovered that one of these occupants had been under investigation for some time as one of the “biggest” drug dealers in Decatur County.
After obtaining a warrant to search the alleged drug dealer’s home, investigators seized three vehicles, $4,000 cash and 150 grams of crystal methamphetamine. A former boyfriend of murder-victim Holly Bobo was also found inside the home, which is located across the street from a county school building. Jury deliberations in Holly Bobo’s trial began on Sept. 21.
